Business tourism opportunities at CHASE 2012

Visit Manchester pursue not-for-profit business tourism opportunities at CHASE 2012

Visit Manchester has teamed up with United Events - the conference and events arm of Manchester United Football Club - to exhibit at The Charities and Associations Exhibition (CHASE) in London this week in an attempt to increase the city's profile as a conference destination for the not-for-profit sector.

The Charities and Associations Exhibition is firmly established as the premier business-to-business event for those involved in the not-for-profit sector and is attended by key decision makers and leading suppliers.

The event will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February 2012.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: "We're delighted to be attending CHASE 2012. We've got a great track record within the charities and associations sector, with both the Multiple Sclerosis Society's MS Life and British Council for Offices events coming up this year. The event gives us the chance to showcase the city's excellent conferencing product - including our ability to host some of the biggest events in the industry, in the heart of the city centre".

"We're also thrilled to be exhibiting alongside United Events whose involvement will secure a strong presence for the city at the event".

Manchester's business tourism industry generates over £570 million a year for the city-region economy and attracts some 4.2m delegates to the city.
