Visit Manchester's Accommodation Booking Service (ABS) is a free service that involves a team of professionals researching room availability at a range of accommodation providers, negotiating prices and managing the reservation process on behalf of an event.

The team has first hand knowledge of the hotel product in the region and can therefore offer you expert advice to ensure that the individual needs of the people attending your meeting or event are met.

Visitors to your event benefit from a simple one-stop-shop booking service that offers competitive rates, a cancellation policy of up to 48 hours prior to arrival date, 24/7 access on line and no deposit required to secure the reservation.

The allocations we hold at individual hotels do not require any contracts as the agreement will be with Visit Manchester and rooms will be available to delegates up to 28 days prior to the event dates. After this date any rooms held are returned back to the hotels with no charge to yourself.

Once allocations are secured, a website tailored to your specific conference and branded with your logo is launched with a unique reference number which can be given to delegates to allow booking online. This user reference offers delegates direct access online and can be given to you to include on your website.

Delegates can make reservations online (or by phone) up to the agreed 28-day release date. After this, the online booking access is locked and any delegates who still require hotel rooms may contact the ABS team directly by telephone who will help source accommodation for late delegates, but rates and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Visit Manchester will manage all reservations received online (or by phone), notifying delegates by email that a booking has been made. The team will handle any cancellations or amendments to reservations as well as any specific requirements such as ground floor room etc.

Running up to the event, rooming lists are provided to organisers and full delegate support is offered - whether on-site support on check in days or providing tourist information to delegates; extended office hours can also be arranged for delegates to contact staff on main check in dates.
