The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development first came to Manchester in 2009 after over 60 years at Harrogate Convention Centre.

The move of the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition to Manchester has been a "recession-busting success", according to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.  The event has been run by the Institute for over 60 years, but only switched to the Manchester Central venue in 2009.

The Conference brought 13,500 delegates to the City for 4 days with the majority of the conference taking place within Manchester Central Convention Centre.
