Chartered Institute of Housing Annual Conference & Exhibition 2012

Tuesday 12 Jun to Thursday 14 Jun, 2012
Manchester Central

The CIH Annual Conference and Exhibition is the flagship event in the UK housing calendar. It provides a unique opportunity for the whole of the housing sector – public, private and non-profit - to come together in one place to learn, improve and influence. Over three days, conference delegates explore the key national issues facing the sector, share best practice and debate solutions to current and future challenges. Running alongside the conference, the exhibition focuses on the provision of social and affordable housing and the development of sustainable communities. The event is the biggest and best attended event in the UK’s housing events calendar as it brings more than 4000 housing professionals together with over 300 of the sector's leading providers, partners and suppliers all under one roof. The exhibition showcases the latest products and services in the housing and regeneration sector with many dedicated features and seminars running throughout the show.

Transport

Manchester Central is in the heart of Manchester city centre and benefits from excellent road, rail and air links. The city centre itself is compact and accessible, with most areas within walking distance of each other; alternatively take advantage of the free city centre metro-shuttle bus service or the tram system that runs throughout Manchester city region.

  • Rail

Manchester has direct rail connections to all major UK cities – London is just over two hours away by train. Services come into the city at either Piccadilly or Victoria station, both of which connect to Manchester’s Metrolink light-rail system which provides easy access to all parts of the city centre.
